The Consortium Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Learning Assistant. We are ambitious about the future – creating learning environments and excellence in teaching and learning that provide our children and young people with the best chance at a successful future. Coupled with this is the commitment, care and investment in our people, who we believe are our greatest asset. If you are a team player who is looking for a varied and interesting new career opportunity within marketing, then we want to hear from you!
About the Role
We are looking for a suitable individual with a passion for providing a fully inclusive education to all learners within our primary school, Penshurst. The successful candidates will be dynamic, and solution focused who can work effectively as part of a very committed team.
They will be driven to providing bespoke support in order to offer each and every learner the opportunity to reach their full potential, both academically and emotionally. Although specific training will be offered, knowledge and experience of working in education in the field of SEND would be beneficial.
About You
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills are an absolute necessity. The ability to listen to and converse with children, parents/carers, school staff and external agencies is the key skill required in order to devise and subsequently deliver the appropriate support.
Attention to detail is required, as accurate record keeping must be undertaken. This must be supported by a high standard of literacy. Basic IT skills are also necessary, although full training in school software will be provided.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a passion for developing themselves through a commitment to CPD.
What WE can Offer YOU
In return for your skills and experience, we provide a supportive and friendly environment to develop and thrive. We offer all staff access to an excellent pension (TPS/LGPS); a generous annual leave entitlement with additional shutdown days over the Christmas period; staff development opportunities; free onsite car parking; and a supportive induction programme.
