Description

The job itself

A revitalised sense of focus and energy is taking our Adult Social Care services in an exciting direction of change and transformation. We are looking for the right person to help us achieve our long term vision for sustainable adult social care, through a new way of working, designed to meet the needs of our residents in the most effective way possible.

Applications are invited from people who are suitably qualified as a joiner, to take on the role of Occupational Therapy Technician in our well established Disability Resource Team, delivering excellent services to our residents in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The post holder will determine appropriate position and fitting of minor adaptations, by working closely with the client and or Occupational Therapists to identify interventions that maintain people’s independence at home.

You will be required to work on your own initiative to determine the particular adaptation required, materials to be used and location of any simple fixed adaptation and have good communication and interpersonal skills.

The post is supporting residents across the East Riding of Yorkshire, therefore a full driving licence is essential.

Our Occupational Therapy Technicians make a difference to our local communities in the East Riding of Yorkshire and that’s exactly what we aim to do for our staff. Here are some of the ways we aim to achieve this:

  • Flexible working
  • Comprehensive staff wellbeing programme to ensure your welfare
  • Regular formal and informal support
  • Comprehensive Induction
  • Safe, supportive and positive working environment
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Staff discounts at local retailers
