East Riding of Yorkshire Council supports their residents to live well and age well within their communities. Occupational therapist skills contribute to achieving this. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced qualified HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and evolving Disability Resource Team. 

The Disability Resource Team comprises 4 leads, occupational therapy and sensory services for adults and children. You will be required to hold a small complex case load providing assessments for Adults. We are looking for an innovative practitioner, who is passionate about empowering clients to build upon their strengths. Your interventions will provide minor and major adaptations, equipment provision, moving and handling and reablement approach.

You will have a role in the safeguarding of those vulnerable residents within our communities.

Leadership has never been more important than in these times. You will be called upon to show inspirational leadership that is adaptive and demonstrate skills in planned and crisis management, embracing collaborative working with health, social care providers and our community partners. As one of four leads within the team, you will support staff in their roles via supervision, wellbeing and training, assist the manager with contract monitoring, complaints and service development.

You will have experience of using service delivery data to identify trends and gaps to inform future development.

The Lead Occupational Therapist Grade 11 (£34,788.00, presently has a market supplement £38,813.00). 

We are looking for experience in home adaptations and Disability Facilities Grants, complex moving and handling assessments along with excellent clinical reasoning skills to provide efficient and effective clinical decisions whilst providing a positive service user experience.

Successful candidates will receive a comprehensive induction package.
