The job itself

Bridlington Day Services is a multi-purpose day service located in the historic old town of Bridlington. We support adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health issues, autism, older people and those with profound and complex needs.

As a Day Service Officer, you will be required to support vulnerable adults within our service. You will need to possess an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care and be willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification.

As your employer the Council will provide you with all the relevant training and you may be expected to complete a Care Certificate.

A day in the life of a Day Service Officer within Bridlington Day Services includes staff supervisions, overseeing and supporting group activities, personal care support, liaising with family, carers, and other professionals, completing administration work using technology e.g. attending meetings via Microsoft Teams, sending emails etc…please note this is not an exhaustive list.
