The Lifeline/Responder service is looking to recruit professional, motivated, forward thinking candidates that are enthusiastic and committed to providing a high quality service with a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
A Senior Responder will provide support and guidance to other Community Responders working on a night around complex situations and the emotional and physical needs of a variety of client groups.
The workload is varied and includes leading a team of night staff carrying out supervisory tasks and ensure quality assurance is delivered and maintained throughout the shift.
For this role you should be a team player have excellent communication skills, some previous supervisory experience and the ability to demonstrate you are organised, customer focused and able to work to specific timescales. You are required to have the ability to work with the current management team to deliver a safe and efficient service.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they have experience of management of change with particular reference to motivating and maintaining a flexible team whilst being able to respond to the changing needs and demands of internal and external customers
The successful applicant must be able to work to, monitor and deliver relevant TSA standards and policies and procedures of the Local Authority. They will possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. A full working knowledge of IT applications is desirable.
The Lifeline-Responder role has a focus on supporting older and vulnerable people within their own homes. The service offers a face to face response when an alert has been raised via a sensor from a telecare alarm located within the customer’s property.
Responders provide assistance where an individual has fallen or they have indicated that assistance is required, carrying out assessments where further intervention maybe needed.
Responders are required to link with and refer onto other community based professional services to support customers and enable person centred approach. No previous medical experience or training is necessary although there is need a caring attitude, the role involves some aspects of personal care but not on a routine basis. Good geographical knowledge of the area is also essential.
