The Community Support Services team at Driffield provides support for vulnerable people over the age of 18 in their home environment. We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Community Support Technician.

The role

The Technician staff team are essential to the running of Community Support Services and play a key role in dealing with referral requests and organising care for new customers that have been discharged home from hospital, along with people in crisis requiring a service of last resort. This post supports the delivery of high quality, cost effective services that is compliant with CQC Standards and GDPR.

This role requires you to work on a rota basis as part of the Technician team to provide support to the service 7 days a week, Monday – Sunday between the hours of 08:30 – 18:30.

Your keys responsibilities will be:

Taking referrals from Hospital and the Contracts and Review Team

Allocating care calls via our electronic rota management system Webroster

Ensuring all emails are appropriately dealt with including emails sent to the team’s shared inbox

Liaising and communicating clearly with both in-house and external professionals

Updating client’s records accurately – including inputting data into Webroster and the in-house AIS system

Preparing reports and feedback including statistical analysis to managers with accurate information.

To attend meetings if required and to assist in the continual development of the systems used.

The candidate will:

Manage your own time effectively, be organised and meet deadlines in a pressured environment.

Have experience in the use of information and communication technology (ICT)

Have a good standard of education, with strong written and verbal communication skills and a good level of numeracy and literacy.

An understanding of Community Support Services is desirable, along with the ability to use a computer based rota system.
