The Old School House provides residential care to older people with Dementia. We seek committed, self-motivated and reliable individuals to deliver high quality care and support to our residents, including daily living skills as well as social activities within the home.
We require an experienced and motivated senior care assistant to work through the night from 22.45 until 07.00, to oversee the running of shifts, administer medication and work alongside a small staff team working to achieve positive outcomes for a complex client group. Duties will include directing staff to duties, responding to incidents, accurate reporting and recording, security of the building, key holder responsibility, administering some prescribed medication.
The role is challenging but extremely rewarding. If you enjoy working with people and have a desire to improve the quality of life for older people with dementia in residential care then we would welcome your application.
You should be able to work as part of a team, offering consistent approaches to care and managing behaviours that challenge. A good value base and an awareness of the needs of people with Dementia is essential.
NVQ/Care certificate qualifications would be advantageous, as well as a willingness to take on any relevant training to meet the requirements of the post.
