Job Term: Fixed term for 6 months

Days of work:  To be confirmed/ to include some weekend work, mornings and evenings

Hours per week: 22 hours

Place of Work: Newhouse Residential Home

Newhouse Residential Home provides residential care to 8 individuals who live with Learning Disabilities and additional needs. We seek committed, self-motivated and reliable individuals to deliver high quality domestic and cleaning support to our residents.

We are currently recruiting temporary staff to work enhance and work alongside our permanent staff team. Duties include ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control are maintained. You will also work with the whole staff team to ensure the highest standard of dignity, respect and independence are achieved. Behaviour management awareness, as well as caring and empathetic approaches, are essential in meeting individual needs.

You should be able to work as part of a team, offering consistent approaches to care. A good value base and an awareness of the needs of people with Learning Disabilities is essential.

NVQ / QCF qualifications would be advantageous as well as a willingness to take on any relevant training to meet the requirements of the post.
