Place of Work: Woldhaven Residential Care Home, Pocklington  

Woldhaven Residential Care Home & Reablement Unit require a Care Assistant for 1 x 32 hours per week. This is a 4 week rolling rota including alternate weekends and some bank holidays.

Duties include providing support for a range of complex physical and mental care needs, including dementia; to have an understanding and empathetic approach and the ability to provide personal care, emotional support and end of life care to a high standard. Promoting independence is also essential to work within the reablement service.

The role is challenging but extremely rewarding. If you enjoy working with people and have a desire to improve the quality of life for older people in residential care then we would welcome your application. 

Knowledge of safeguarding and of health and safety within residential care is desirable.

NVQ/QCF qualification would be advantageous, as well as a willingness to take on any relevant training to meet the requirements of the post - the ability to attend training during the day is also a requirement.

Hours are worked on a rota to meet the needs of the service.
