The Council's Lifeline & Responder Service aims to make available twenty-four hour support and security for elderly, disabled or otherwise vulnerable persons in their home. The applicants must be flexible to meet the needs of a 24/7 service.

Applicants should have experience of, and a genuine interest in the welfare of the vulnerable and older people.
You will be required to actively promote Technology to support early intervention and prevention, and specifically to assess, demonstrate and install Telecare equipment including key safes using the appropriate hand tools as required. The role will require prompt responses for installation, enabling people to remain independent in their home wherever possible.
The successful applicant will be required to communicate with all relevant stakeholders, co-ordinating joint working as required. They will be part of a team but must be able to work without supervision ensuring the continuing high service given to service users.
They will also work closely with other staff in the Lifeline & Responder Service and other relevant professionals within a community based environment.
Good communication, telephone skills and experience in customer care is essential, as is working in a busy and sometimes stressful environment. IT skills are an essential part of this role, as agile working within the community is required.
The successful applicants will be required to work 37 hours across the week & weekends on a permanent basis, working bank holidays and during the festive period. The role will be based within the community in the Goole locality, flexibility of hours will be required dependent upon service requirements.
