We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Lifeline & Responder Services team working as a Telecare Support Technician.
The Councils Lifeline & Responder Service aims to make available twenty-four-hour support and security for vulnerable people in their home across the whole of the East Riding.
The service provides 24/7 cover, your role will support the service delivery within your contracts hours but at times flexibility maybe required to meet the needs of the service in an emergency situation.

The successful applicants will be required to work 26.5hrs across the week & weekends on a permanent basis working bank holidays and during the festive period. The base for this role is Driffield but there is currently a blended working approach in place.

What you’ll be doing
Working as a Telecare Support Technician, your role will be to provide a high-quality service dealing with Lifeline referrals that are received from multiple avenues (phone, email, adult referral system) and ensuring the right package of support is put in place.
You will be liaising with customers, their families, social & health care professionals, along with colleagues and management, so good communication & listening skills are essential for this role.
You will be responsible for arranging and booking in Lifeline installations for the 6 Technicians that work out in the community and liaise with them daily.
You will be dealing with billing queries and enquires, to ensure the customer is charged for the right equipment and the information on the system is correct.
About You
We are looking for a friendly and confident individual with excellent customer care and organisational skills.
You will need to have strong IT skills, as you will be working on a number of different systems and Microsoft packages.
The ability to multitask and work under pressure
Be a team player who can easily adapt to new situations
Be non-judgemental and understand the challenges people are facing within the authority

A Disclosure and Barring Service Check will be undertaken for this role
Full training will be provided for the role.
Mileage will be paid in line with the Local Authorities policies and procedures
