A part-time, temporary Nursery Nurse/Key Worker/Teaching Assistant is required for Beverley Manor Nursery School. This post is 33.5 hours per week - This appointment will be over 5 days (Monday – Friday). The post is open to job share – please state your preference and days to be worked on the application form.
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and hard-working applicants, who have a good understanding of the principles of the EYFS and how young children learn and develop.
We are a small, friendly, school with approximately 67 pupils on roll. The post will form part of a hardworking and very friendly staff team. You will be working in a wonderful nursery school where children are actively encouraged to be independent and explore our very natural setting.
Our school ethos is that the children come first and everything we do must support their learning. This approach is shared and endorsed by all staff and the school governing body. We look forward to receiving applications.
Key Worker duties include, but are not exclusive:
Appraisal targets will be set in line with the TA and Nursery Nurse agreed standards.
The role will include supporting individuals, small groups and child initiated play. Support all aspects of the nursery including setting up and maintaining high quality provision, health and safety checks, risk assessments, first aid, assessment and observation of children. Running Forest and Beach Schools.
Appointment will be on a fixed term basis for a term starting 17th April 2023 until 31st August 2023.
All applicants will be interviewed by a panel and be observed working with children in the nursery setting by a member of the SLT. Each question will be scored as will practice and the highest scoring applicant will be appointed to the post.
We have high expectations of children and staff at the nursery.
