Description

The job itself

We are seeking to appoint reliable trustworthy and conscientious people, who will take pride in working within our school and have unconditional positive regard for our children and staff.

Kitchen Assistant - You will collect the meals from Pocklington Junior School, prepare the dining room, serve the meals and clean the dining area and kitchen afterwards. The job also requires some lifting, moving of furniture and equipment. Experience of working within a school environment and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate would be advantageous but training will be given. Travelling between schools to collect meals will be required on a daily basis, so you must be able to transport yourself between the two sites. Business car insurance will be required.

Midday Supervisor - You will supervise the children eating their dinner, along with another member of staff. In the event of staff absence, you may be required to supervise the children on the playground or in the classroom on a rainy day, to ensure they have a happy and enjoyable lunchtime experience.

Most importantly you will be team player, with a good sense of humour and a passion for doing a great job.

We can offer a warm and friendly working environment that would suit a hardworking and dedicated person.

All staff must have an enhanced DBS check as Bishop Wilton C of E Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

In line with statutory guidance: Keeping Children Safe in Education (2022), an online search will be carried out on all shortlisted candidates.

Visits to the school can be arranged by telephoning 01759 368313.

Online applications close on 25 June. Applications will be received at the school up until 9am on 26 June.
