We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join us at Burstwick Community Primary School.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our friendly, caring team who ensure the progression of each individual child is at the heart of everything we do. We require someone who contributes to the planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of learning experiences that will enhance children’s physical, intellectual, emotional, social and moral development.

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan lessons to deliver across all classes in the school whilst class teachers are on PPA and curriculum release time.
  • Lead various activities such as sporting events and School Council.
  • Be committed to developing the children as independent learners and thinkers.
  • Have high expectations of achievement and attitudes to learning and behaviour.
  • Continue the excellent relationships with parents and the community.
  • Be passionate about meeting children’s needs.
  • Be a good communicator and team member who is positive, caring and flexible.
  • Be committed to inclusion and equality.
