The job itself

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Commissioning and Intelligence Team for a Commissioning Assistant. The Commissioning and Intelligence Team is a dynamic, rewarding, and fast paced environment, which undertakes the planning, design and commissioning of adult social care in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

We are looking for someone with excellent IT skills, used to working with large data sets, with particular reference to Excel.

Key requirements:

  • Ablilty to analyse data sets
  • Experience of monitoring performance and providing management reports
  • Present oral and written information, both in formal and informal settings
  • Clear, thorough and accurate in their work
  • Ability to plan and organise own work to meet workload targets and deadlines
  • Ability to interpret, guidance, devise and document processes
  • Build rapport with colleagues in operational teams, and develop and use informal and formal networks

The Candidate:

You will:

  • Be a self-motivated and an enthusiastic individual
  • Have a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure
  • Be an experienced computer user (both Microsoft Office Packages and database systems)
  • Have the ability to analyse and manipulate large data sets
  • Have the ability to develop and maintain strong and positive working relationships
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess a practical and logical approach to problem solving
  • Be able to respond to high volumes of work and have a positive attitude to change
  • Be a team player, recognising that success depends on the effectiveness of the team

The team can facilitate a blended working (home and office) approach with some degree of flexibility around start and finish times.
