Based within the Health and Wellbeing service, this post will strategically manage a range of sustainable sport, physical activity and health and wellbeing initiatives for the staff of East Riding of Yorkshire Council and will develop and manage specific elements of the Health and Wellbeing Service programmes.
A large part of this role will involve establishing activities to benefit the Health and Wellbeing of East Riding of Yorkshire Council Staff as part of the Council’s new “Live Well Work Well” initiative, funded by Public Health.
You will work in partnership with internal departments and external organisations and stakeholders, such as Public Health, Adult Social Services, voluntary and community agencies and health providers. You will also line manage individuals who will support the running of the programmes.
You will need; experience of working in a Health and/or Leisure setting, a degree level qualification or equivalent and experience of partnership working in a multi agency environment. Understanding of and/or the use of the boditrax equipment and being able to run NHS Health Checks will be an advantage. You will also need a mature, positive and flexible approach to working with others across a variety of programme areas.
