We are excited to be able to offer the opportunity to join the Library Service working as the Supervisor at Flamborough Library.

You must have a can-do attitude and strong organisational skills to help develop the library offer, making links with the local community and developing an activity/events programme for the library. You will provide excellent customer care, have a genuine enthusiasm for working with people of all ages and be imaginative in delivering a modern library service.

Regular duties include:

  • Promoting library services to the local community
  • Ensuring a safe site, adhering to risk assessments and conducting health & safety checks
  • Supporting health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Assisting the public to use IT resources
  • Shelving and maintaining stock
  • Leading library groups & events
  • Line management of staff

The work is often physically demanding, involving lifting and moving around the workplace.

You will need to be flexible in meeting the needs of the service, opening the library for routine maintenance and attending training as required outside your usual hours.

If you are truly passionate about supporting the local community then we want to hear from you.

This role offers guaranteed training, strong team support, excellent rewards & a competitive salary.
