Secondary level supply One-to-One Tutors with the ability to teach Year 10 and 11 students to GCSE level are required to ensure East Riding Supply Service has access to high quality, flexible, committed tutors who can offer 1:1 tuition to identified children or young persons within this area.
These students are out of formal education for a wide range of extenuating circumstances, such as permanent exclusion, health needs, awaiting a specialist school placement and looked after children who have recently moved into the area.
The main subject areas that tutors are expected to deliver are the core subjects (Maths, English and Science to GCSE level). There may be some flexibility however for younger, less able, or more challenging students when appropriate. The tutor is expected to provide their own resources, liaise with other professionals and help with the transition into school where appropriate to do so.
The successful Supply Worker will be called upon as the need arises and cannot be guaranteed regular work. This role is based at various locations across the East Riding.
