We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and skilled individual to join the Education and Skills Partnership team within the Improvement and Learning Service. This very small, busy team works with a range of customers including Council colleagues, schools, colleges, training providers, and other bodies and government agencies. The successful candidate will support the delivery of various projects and service level agreements (SLA) with the majority of time focusing on delivery of the >log on I move on> careers website SLA. The successful candidate will also deliver/support the delivery of a series of continuous professional development (CPD) activities, events and conferences for Partnership members and young people.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of education and training provision. Knowledge of policy and practice relevant to the delivery of 14-19 education/training and careers education would be desirable. Good standard of education including English and Maths. Has experience of using a range of Information Technology (IT) tools, report writing, writing records of meetings, and delivering presentations and training sessions.
This post is a permanent, job share arrangement, working days would normally be Monday and Tuesday and part day Wednesday. Occasional evening and weekend working may be required. The successful applicant will need to be flexible in the first month to accommodate an induction programme across other days in the working week. These dates would be agreed in advance.
This role would normally be office based with some school/provider visits. At present we are working from home and undertaking ‘virtual’ visits via a range of technologies including Microsoft Teams.
