Due to the retirement of the current post holder, East Riding of Yorkshire Council are looking for a passionate individual to manage our Supply Service. The service has over 400 temporary staff offering a supply pool of teachers, educational psychologists, specialist 1:1 tutors, teaching assistants, higher level teaching assistants, nursery nurses, school business managers, administrators, exam invigilators and independent people.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s supply service is one of only three centrally retained nationally and is highly valued by schools and academies. This is what our schools have said to us:
“Thank you so much to your Service. Our School would have had to close if it had not been for you. We needed a number of a supply which you managed to get for us.
Your service is fantastic, and we regularly use and rely on it. Staff are always efficient, and it is very reassuring to know the thorough process that you undertake for supply staff”.
The staff are always polite and professional and always try to resolve the school staffing issue. I have dealt with many supply agencies over the years and East Riding Supply Service is the best for meeting school needs short-term or long term. I would highly recommend the service”.
“We use the East Riding Supply Service for most of our day-to-day Teaching Supply cover when required as you have experienced and friendly staff at the end of the phone who have the knowledge to find the person you are looking for. The staff are always friendly, helpful and professional in all the dealings we have had with the Service”
The successful candidate would need to understand schools and support the service to move onto a more commercial footing. This will be a challenging position, with a target to ensure that the service can be self-funding in the future.
If you are passionate about delivering high quality services, have a proven track record of ‘change management’, are an exceptional leader and looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we look forward to receiving your application.
