Childcare Practitioner
The job itself
We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and experienced practitioner to work all year, in our busy Day Nursery. We offer childcare places to children between the ages of 6 weeks -5 years from 7.30am – 5pm.
Withernsea Day Nursery is an extremely busy setting and you would be expected to work at a fast pace and to a high standard, however you will receive full support from knowledgeable practitioners and coaching from your Manager as you settle into a very welcoming team.
You should hold at least a level 2 Childcare qualification and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the parents/carers.
You will support a safe and stimulating learning environment for children and their carer’s and demonstrates a good understanding of how to motivate and engage children with their development and learning.
You will need sound knowledge of how to safeguard children and protect them from harm.
You should have experience of supporting parents and an understanding of and commitment to working with parents as first educators of their children.
You will act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.
