The job itself

This post is situated within the Anlaby Children’s Centre Business Support Team, supporting a multifaceted hub made up of 3 teams. The teams supported by the business support team are the Children’s Safeguarding Team, Children with Disabilities Team and Participation & Rights Team. The practitioners we support assist families from pre-birth to 25 years providing a range of services from early help to safeguarding involvement, including children and young people with additional needs.

An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual to join this busy business support team providing a wide range of administrative support including minute taking to the above teams within Children’s Services, based at Anlaby Children’s Centre, First Lane, Anlaby.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to providing a quality service, have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. To undertake this role successfully you need to be customer focused, able to work easily within a challenging environment, have excellent administrative and organisational skills and have the motivation and desire to achieve a high quality service. You should be able to demonstrate effective use of a range of ICT systems/software packages. A high level of customer service is required as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive material. Teamwork plays a vital role as does the ability to meet deadlines, working on your own initiative and also being able to delegate tasks if necessary.

The business support team consists of 1 Senior Children’s Services Administrator, this vacancy and 4 part time Children’s Services Administrator Level 1’s. Business support is the fuel to our Children, Young People Safeguarding and Support Service (CYPSSS) engine, keeping us working as a system, offering support in taking minutes, and other general administration duties.

This is an opportunity to work within CYPSSS and the invaluable support we provide for families within the East Riding. For more information, please email Vicky.cox@eastriding.gov.uk
