Come and work for an “Outstanding” Youth Offending Service. In March 2019 the East Riding of Yorkshire Youth
Offending Service became the first to ever score full marks across the board in an inspection by HM Inspectorate
of Probation.

Inspectors noted: “Staff build fruitful relationships with children, young people, parents and carers,
and partner services. It is evident that children and young people are listened to and their goals and aspirations
are taken seriously and acted upon.”

There is an exciting opportunity available within the Youth Offending Service and we are
looking to appoint a motivated and creative professional to join our service and help
drive our work forward in Restorative Justice.

Our ambition is to build on current restorative justice work and further embed restorative approaches across the service, working with children and young people and in community settings.

You will support the delivery and development of high quality restorative justice practice contributing to reducing offending, increased victim satisfaction and community confidence.

You will support the development and co-ordination of referral panels and a range of community reparation projects for young people subject to Out of Court Disposals and Court Orders.

You will support the co-ordination of volunteers to support young people and, where appropriate, wider work with vulnerable young people such as referral panels and reparation supervision.

Applicants must be flexible as some evening and weekend work may be required.
