Here in the East Riding, we are determined to deliver the best possible service to all of our children and young people. We are committed to being a highly self-aware and constantly learning organisation, where good practice thrives to support excellent outcomes.
We are taking the opportunity following a challenging Short ILACS inspection in 2019 to update our systems and our practice through a fundamental ‘strengths based’ improvement and development programme.
Our strengths are significant, we are proud of our loyal and talented workforce, the great outcomes we achieve for so many Children and Young People, our community of great Foster Carers and excellent partnership relationships.
Our vision for the service is clear and ambitious.
We are looking for talented leaders who are passionate about practice and are focused on making sure that our services improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
Our recent focussed visit from Ofsted confirmed that we are making clear progress in our improvement work. However, our aspirations stretch well beyond ‘good’ as we develop a modern and sustainable outstanding practice system.
To support our ambitions we are seeking two Strategic Leaders to join our great team; one to have oversight of our planned Targeted Intensive Offer and one who will be responsible for driving and embedding our practice quality assurance, learning and improvement arrangements.
As well as joining a great team you will benefit from:
-Reimbursement of Social Work England professional fees
-A Community Care Inform Learning Licence providing access to a range of innovative learning opportunities
-Competitive annual leave allowance including a Christmas ‘close down’ period
-Flexible working opportunities
-Contributory Local Government Pension Scheme
-Access to a salary sacrifice car scheme
-Access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
-Salary at grade 17 - £58041
Your responsibilities will include:
-Direct management of a group of managers
-Strategic planning and practice development
-Maintaining systems for improving quality and performance
-Complex decision making and problem solving
If you are social work qualified, with experience at a senior management level and want to be part of our team to help create the conditions that support best practice, then please apply.
For an informal conversation about the role please contact Penny Donno, Head of Children and Young People’s Support and Safeguarding Services on 07800534418.
Closing date: Thursday 3rd December 2020
Interview date: To be arranged, expected mid-December
