The job itself

This role provides an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of climate change resilience within the East Riding. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will support the development and delivery of the innovative East Riding Coastal Transition Accelerator Programme to support vulnerable communities to plan for, and respond to, the impacts of coastal change.

Acting as a coastal champion, you will work with internal colleagues, partners and communities to develop a new, long-term approach to coastal transition within the East Riding, while actively supporting communities to deliver on-the-ground adaptation.

This role requires a candidate who is able to think innovatively, forge excellent relationships with a range of people and organisations and deliver an ambitious programme of work on time.

Candidates should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and have an in-depth understanding of coastal change issues and adaptive approaches to coastal management. They should have experience of project management, policy / strategy development and partnership working.

For further information or for an informal discussion please contact Richard Jackson, Tel: 07814 879421.
