A vacancy has arisen for the position of Sexton at Bridlington Cemetery.
Duties include the preparation of graves and representing the Council at burial services. This will involve regular contact with funeral directors and memorial stonemasons. You will be required to respond to customer enquiries often to locate a late relative’s grave or to report a site maintenance issue. Good customer care skills with a sympathetic and understanding approach is essential.
You will also be responsible for a small team carrying out grass mowing and strimming works. Previous experience of carrying out a ground maintenance role preferably working in a cemetery or churchyard environment is required.
