The job itself

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our talented and committed team as a Teaching Assistant (Level 2). This is on a fixed term contract working as a 1:1 with a named child, currently in Reception, to support their educational needs and EHCP.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated colleague who has a passion for working with pupils with specific areas of need on a 1:1 basis.

Successful candidates will:

  • Be a positive role model who is committed to upholding our school ethos and values.
  • Work in partnership with the class teacher to complement the teachers’ delivery of the curriculum alongside any specific intervention required.
  • Be able to work in a positive and calm way – both on a 1:1 basis and within a group situation to support further learning for the child.
  • Have a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Be warm, caring and patient.
  • Have an excellent understanding of safeguarding and create a positive culture for safeguarding.
