At Kingsway Primary School we aim to provide a secure, caring, happy and enjoyable environment where every child can flourish as an individual. We seek to promote the development of each pupil, regardless of gender, race, social circumstances or special needs to ensure that all children can achieve their dreams. We are a “Good” school (OFSTED, January 2023).
We have a great opportunity for a committed Nursery Nurse to join our dedicated team to help support the teaching and learning of our Foundation Stage pupils. Our nursery nurses have a varied role including supporting individual children, small group work post as well as class-based learning activities. This post will involve working across the Foundation Stage – from our school-based nursery to our two reception classes.
We are looking to appoint someone who is a team player, flexible, calm and patient and who shares our ethos of “every child, every chance, every day”. The successful candidate will hold a level 3 qualification related to Early Years which counts towards the DfE staff:child L3 ratio.
The hours of work for this post are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm – with half an hour for lunch. One night a week the postholder will finish at 3.30pm – the day to be arranged on appointment. This is a term time only post plus 5 training days.
For further information about the post, or to arrange a look around the school, please contact Rachel White on 01405 763716 (kingsway.primary@eastriding.gov.uk). The Council is undertaking a review of pay and reward as part of its ambitions to attract and retain employees by having effective pay and development structures in place to support modern ways of working and to support the provision of Council services which meet local priorities. Please note that the future terms and conditions of this post may change following the outcome of this review.
If you already work for the council and have an Employee Self Service (ESS) account, please login to apply online using your ESS username and password.
This school does not have the resources to send individual notifications to all applicants who are not shortlisted so if you have not been contacted within 2 weeks of the closing date you should assume you have been unsuccessful.
If selected for interview, an online search will be conducted for candidates. This is in line with KCSiE 2022.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance check. The school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare. All members of staff are expected to share this commitment.
