We are looking for a Support Worker for a 13 year old boy who enjoys a variety of activities which include swimming, ice skating going to wildlife parks and bike rides.
An ideal worker would be a creative and adventurous person who is willing to assist him in these activities as he as a visual impairment as well as other additional needs.
He would also enjoy going for walks, going to McDonalds to have a milkshake, playing FIFA and baking.
The hours for this role are 4 hours during term time and 8 hours during school holidays. Days and times are to be arranged with the young person and his family. Term time hours will be arranged around school times and in the holidays, there is room for plenty of flexibility.
An ideal worker will be reliable and passionate about supporting this young person to build his confidence and to access social activities.
A driver with access to a car is required for this role.

Children and Young People, Specialist Services Direct Payments is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to support families of Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to fulfil their potential and aspirations.
Whilst caring experience is always useful, you don’t necessarily need to have worked in care to be a great Direct Payment Worker, the right attitude and a person-centred approach is more important.
Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required, applicants must be able to transport themselves.
