Rate of Pay: £9.20 per hour

Transport Support Workers/Drivers are required to transport a young man to and from his day service provision in Hull.

Transport will be provided by the use of his own car, however it is essential that candidates hold a full driving licence to enable them to become a driver of his mobility car and to be entered onto his insurance policy.

We are seeking two candidates to work alongside each other for 10 hours each per week.

Hours are:

08:00-09:00: to pick up from home address, safely manoeuvre and correctly strap/attach wheelchair into his own adapted vehicle and drive the young man to his service provision in Hull, to drop him off for his day ahead.

14:30-15:30: to collect car from home address, drive to day service provision in Hull to pick up the young man and safely manoeuvre and correctly strap/attach wheelchair into his own adapted vehicle and drive him home.

Training will be provided to appointed candidates for the administration of Buccal Midazolam and the correct safety techniques of using his wheelchair adapted vehicle and the attachment of necessary straps required for travel.

The young man is looking forward to social interaction on his journey to and from Hull and is happy and outgoing, with a good sense of humour.

DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.
