We are looking to recruit a support worker for a young man with autism. His interests include Lego, Minecraft, playing Xbox games and building / mechanics.
The worker should have an understanding of autism and feel confident in their ability to build a good rapport with the young man as well as being able to encourage him to take part in physical activities.
When a good relationship has been established, activities that the worker will need to undertake will include having days out and taking the train to different places, as well as activities within the home such as baking.
The worker will need to be able to be flexible in their approach and understand that the day’s activities may be led by how the young man is feeling.
