Lady aged 84 living in Bridlington, that has early/middle stages of Dementia, requires support workers to cover a total of 26 hours per week.
There are 2 days available. This is part of a 26 hour package and the candidate would need to be able to cover the holidays of the other support worker.
Duties - Meal Preparation, assistance and social interaction in the home, Light domestic and cleaning, to promote social activities, to support to go shopping, Occasional support with toileting.
Ideal candidate would be someone who is patient, caring, friendly and trustworthy, it would be an advantage if have experience of working with Dementia. Car driver and use of own car would be essential.

The Direct Payments Support Service is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service promotes independent choice and inclusion, allowing our service users to employ their own care and support as needed. We support many individuals with varying abilities, assisting with advertising and recruitment for a range of roles including support workers, carers and personal assistants.
A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency.
