The job itself

A 32 year old lady living in Bridlington who has a learning disability, would like a personal assistant to support her for 8 hours per week. Duties will include assisting the lady to go out socially in the community, attend craft groups/fayres and walk the family dogs.

The lady likes animals and enjoys doing crafts and would require support to her volunteering role with the RSPCA.

The ideal candidate must be flexible, reliable, honest and trustworthy.

It is essential that applicants hold a clean driving licence have the use of a car.

The Direct Payments Support Service is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service promotes independent choice and inclusion, allowing our service users to employ their own care and support as needed. We support many individuals with varying abilities, assisting with advertising and recruitment for a range of roles including support workers, carers and personal assistants.

Travel

Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required, applicants must be able to transport themselves.
