A lady in her mid 40s, living in Anlaby Common with MS, requires a Personal Assistant for weekday mornings and 2 hours on Tuesday afternoons during term times. Hours will change during non-term times, so there is a need for flexibility.
Term time: Mon, Wed, Friday 07.00-09.30. Tues & Thurs 07.30-09.30 Plus 15.30-17.30 Tuesday afternoon (13.5 hours)
Non-Term Time: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 08.30-12:00 Midday. Tuesday 08.30-12.30 (18 hours)
Tasks to include general domestic tasks, preparation of breakfast, shopping for groceries and making drinks and snacks. Assistance with personal care, dressing and support with physio exercise. This lady does have a hoist, it is rarely used at the moment. Some days her mobility is better than others.
Support may be required to take the lady to medical appointments so a driving licence is required.
Her son may need walking to school and collecting on a Tuesday afternoon.
Previous experience in adult social care is not essential for this role.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.
