Support Worker required to support a young man in his own home with 24-hour care, on a 1:1 basis. He has autism and is blind and requires assistance with personal care, daily living skills and activities including swimming, gym, and socialising.
The suitable person must be reliable and flexible and able to work as part of a team on a 4-week rolling rota. They should be able to work some weekends and one night sleep per week. They will be working alongside a colleague.
Full clean driving licence and use of own car is preferred, but not essential. The young man has his own car for use.
The job is permanent on a part time basis.

The Direct Payments Support Service is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service promotes independent choice and inclusion, allowing our service users to employ their own care and support as needed. We support many individuals with varying abilities, assisting with advertising and recruitment for a range of roles including support workers, carers and personal assistants.
Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required, applicants must be able to transport themselves.
