We are looking for a Direct Payment Worker who is outgoing, energetic and fun, to support a 14 year old boy who has a diagnosis of autism and some medical needs, including diabetes.
His interests includes swimming, watching and playing football and being outside exploring open spaces. He also loves anything to do with computer games. He really enjoys doing outdoor water sports such as those at Allerthorpe Lake. He enjoys high rope courses such as Go Ape and he enjoys just chilling at the cinema. The young person plays for a football team and the support will include him accessing weekly training sessions.
The worker should have knowledge of working with children and young people and should be approachable and confident in working with young people. The worker will also need to be flexible and understand that the day’s activities may be led by how the young person is feeling.
