Due to an internal promotion a vacancy has arisen in the Monthly Data Collection team. The post is an entry level position into the team, the successful candidate will undergo a full training programme, so previous experience is not required. The team are responsible for the daily maintenance of pension records for people contributing into the Local Government Pension Scheme. The vacancy is based at the Council Offices in Goole with a hybrid working system in place. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with figures and analysing data. If you have an inquisitive mind and enjoy problem solving the varied work will be appealing to you.
You will work closely within the team to ensure that accurate data is held on members records. The work involves liaising with our scheme employers to load monthly pension contributions onto member’s records, processing new scheme joiner information and data changes along with calculating pensions and refunds to scheme leavers. You will receive full training on the Local Government Pensions Regulations you need to know to enable you to achieve this along with the Universal Pensions Management system, which is used for all our pension administration.

The pensions section supports blended working and is committed to providing flexibility wherever possible to help employees balance their home and work commitments. This includes employees being able to combine office working with remote working. Whilst you will be required to work from our offices for parts of your initial training, after this you'll be able to work up to 60% of your working hours remotely as part of our blended working model.
