‘Where children come first and everything we do must reflect that single goal’

Required from September 2020 at Hornsea Nursery School for a minimum 15 hours per week, fixed term contract, term time only.

We are looking to appoint a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly school, which thrives on a strong team approach, fantastic children, high standards and a caring ethos. We are seeking an individual who has enthusiasm, energy and commitment to work in an effective school to support children’s learning.

A minimum of Level 2 qualification is essential, as is the ability to interact and play alongside the children to extend their learning and progress in all developmental areas.

The role will include supporting a small group of children attending breakfast / afterschool in child initiated play from the age of two - five.  The successful candidate will support all aspects of the nursery including setting up and maintaining high quality provision inside and outside, health and safety checks, first aid, planning, assessment and observation of children.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, enthusiastic and happy to work as part of a team.  Hornsea Nursery School is committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected and innovative school.  We have a comprehensive induction package and commitment to training.  We welcome applications from those new and experienced, with a willingness to learn and be excited by new opportunities.

All applicants will be interviewed by a panel, it is likely due to Covid-19 that this will be via Zoom or similar platform.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Please note the school does not have the resources to send individual notifications to all applicants who are not shortlisted so if you have not been contacted within 2 weeks of the closing date you should assume you have been unsuccessful.
