We are looking for two experienced professionals that have experience of working with adults in a social care environment, ideally candidates who have worked with victims/survivors of domestic violence/abuse.
The successful candidates should have an understanding of the disempowering nature of domestic violence/abuse and an ability to empathise with the issues faced by this client group. An ability to respond effectively to distressed clients, presenting in crisis is essential.
They will be responsible for contacting victims/survivors of domestic violence/abuse at the point of initial referral; in particular those assessed as high risk and supporting clients through to recovery.
They will be required to gather further information as necessary from the client and/or other agencies, undertake assessments (incorporating the DASH Risk Assessment Model 2009) and offer appropriate support and advice in order to manage/reduce the level of risk.
They will be able to work on their own initiative, flexibly and as part of a wider team in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
