The East Riding of Yorkshire Council Housing Maintenance Unit, is highlighting its commitment to investing in the people of the area in which it serves, by offering a post of a permanent Electrician.
Based at Goole Depot, the post will require you to carry out minor electrical repairs ie replacing faulty lights and switches,sockets, and fault finding and also to carry out void inspection and test..
The successful candidates will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the Councils Social Housing Stock, within the East Riding.
A job where you have the option, to start your working day from your home, providing you can show us evidence of a full driving licence.
Where there are no expectations on you to work overtime, or be part of the call out rota, but there are opportunities to do this, if you so wish.
We are specifically looking for someone who is, experienced in the building industry, preferably being able to multi skill and have fully completed time served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and AM2 qualifications
You will be paired with one of our current experienced staff, to help you adjust to the way we work within the unit, until you are happy to go it alone. We are looking for staff that are self-motivated and are able to work either on their own, or within a team and have the ability to provide a good level of workmanship.
There are various training opportunities, to help you in your job, or progressing within the authority.
Work vehicle and work wear and personal protective equipment are supplied, with specialist tooling and equipment provided to help carry out your work.
