The job itself

The Housing Maintenance Team are looking for two enthusiastic individuals for the post of Apprentice Assistant Housing Maintenance Officer Administration to join the team in September 2023.

The two posts will be based at our Carnaby and Goole Depot offices. If you are self-motivated, enthusiastic, keen, and willing to learn we encourage you to apply!

  • Would you like to shadow a Housing Maintenance Officers on reactive and void inspections?
  • Would you like to help in the administration of Housing Maintenance repairs as well as working with sub-contractors and customers, to include answering the phone, filing paperwork, sending work orders, complete monthly work progress reports?

The successful candidate will undertake the Level 2 Assistant Housing/Property Management apprenticeship standard as well as any additional training. This will be an opportunity for you to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of the Housing Maintenance Unit whilst working in a supportive office environment.

You will be using IT systems daily, dealing with administration enquiries and requests. You will also assist, under direction, across all sections of the unit when workloads require it – including liaising with sub-contractors.

The successful candidate must hold a full driving licence or have their test booked, with access to their own vehicle.
