Keldmarsh Primary School requires as soon as possible, an enthusiastic and committed Playworker to assist in the efficient running of the out of school club.

The successful applicant will work as part of the whole school team, assisting in the preparation and organisation of imaginative and innovative activities suitable to the needs and interest of children aged 4-11 years old, including the supporting of homework.

You will assist in providing fun activities for children and be responsible for ensuring the safe collection and departure of children between the school, club and parents.

The post holder will support the Play Co-ordinator in delivering this invaluable service to parents of pupils at Keldmarsh School.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent practitioner with a good understanding and experience of all stages of primary education;
  • Has a positive approach to managing children’s behaviour;
  • Is passionate about teaching, learning and children;
  • Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification to at least level 2 or higher qualification, plus GCSE qualifications at grade A-C in English and Mathematics;
  • Is hard-working, creative, enthusiastic and flexible;
  • Works effectively as part of a team;
  • Understands the importance of maintaining accurate and confidential records; and
  • Is an excellent communicator with all stakeholders including parents, pupils, staff and contractors
