Kitchen Assistant
The job itself
We are looking to appoint a general kitchen assistant to join our team in April.
Marshlands Primary School is a warm and welcoming environment that serves the community of Old Goole and the surrounding areas. We have a dedicated staff who provide a nurturing setting to ensure that all of our children thrive, we have 287 pupils on roll, including nursery.
The ideal candidate will desirably hold/or attained in the past a level 2 Food Hygiene qualification with some knowledge of special dietary needs or be willing to attend the necessary courses to gain the appropriate knowledge and skills.
The job involves assisting the cook with the production and serving of meals to the children and staff at the school, in accordance with: -
- Current Food Safety regulations.
- School Food Standards.
- Health & Safety regulations.
We are seeking a person who is: -
- Approachable and friendly.
- Enthusiastic.
- Capable of carrying out cleaning in the kitchen to a high standard.
- Flexible.
- Good with children.
- Capable of working to a high standard without supervision.
- Able to assist in basic food preparation.
