Now located in the heart of Hessle, our fabulous brand new state- of- the- art school is looking for lunch time support assistants to work three hours a day for up to five days per week with our amazing students. As a school for pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex needs, our lunch time support assistants work along side teachers and other support staff to provide a safe and engaging learning environment. Whether it’s working as part of a group, or providing 1:1 personal care, no two days are the same, and you’ll play in integral role in the middle of the day covering for staff as they take their own lunch breaks and ensure continuity of care for our students. Whilst mechanical aids are used where practicably possible, there is an element of moving and handling involved in the role as is the requirement to assist with personal care, for example: feeding, changing nappies and pads and toileting.
You must be able to show:
You may not have formal qualifications in education and/or child development (although this would be an advantage) but you will be computer literate have a good standard of education including passes at GCSE maths and English (or equivalent).

Post 1: 11:15 – 2:15pm
Post 2: 11:30 – 2:30pm
