Teaching Assistant Level 2
The job itself
To start September 2022, fixed term for one year, in the first instance.
The Headteacher & Governing Body are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced teaching assistant with a minimum of a NVQ 2 Certificate in Teaching and Learning Support or equivalent.
The role will entail providing classroom support as directed by class teachers, leading intervention groups as required, as well as supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role will also involve the preparation of resources and displays.
Having the confidence to manage and support children with Special Educational Needs and disabilities is essential, as is showing the initiative and commitment to adapting to the individual needs of children.
The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team to provide a stable, calm, caring and supportive learning environment in which pupils can achieve. We require an enthusiastic, resilient and motivated individual with a passion for supporting all pupils, including those with with social and emotional and behavioural needs to achieve their full personal and academic potential.
You should have excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to young people, their welfare, education and personal development. You will act as a role model to our pupils.
