The Hub School is an inclusive learning community. We provide education for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). The curriculum is designed to support children to become independent, confident and thriving learners in our modern world.
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Officer (LSO) to support children with SEMH. LSOs play a vital role in the success of the school, supporting teaching and learning and the development of skills to ensure progress for all.
The ideal candidate will be an effective team player, who has a positive approach to engaging learners.
LSOs will be required to attend INSET days when they arise and to undertake the necessary training appropriate to the role which will include physical intervention training. This is an exciting time to join the school as we continue to develop the full curriculum and provision for our learners.
The Headteacher and Governing Body are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our learners and an Enhanced DBS Check and other employment checks will be conducted on the preferred candidate prior to appointment.
Recruitment packs are available from the school and we actively encourage pre-application tours.
Application pack available from Kerry Mould.
All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application. We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. East Riding of Yorkshire Council is pursuing equality of opportunity in employment.
The closing date for applications is 9am Monday 2nd November 2020 to be received at the school. Please note that online applications close at midnight on 1st November 2020.
Interview date: Thursday 5th November 2020
