The job itself

We require an enthusiastic and motivated professional to effectively support our students who are on alternative curriculum through a vocational provider or are part of our ‘Short Stay’ provision from mainstream schools. The role will involve working alongside our Directors of Learning to Co-Ordinate successful placements for students for both short and long term. This will involve working with young people, families, schools and vocational providers to ensure that students have the best support in order to gain positive outcomes.

You will have:

  • A good standard of education including GCSE or equivalent Grade English and Maths
  • Experience of working with 14 to 16-year olds with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • The ability to relate effectively to students, their parents/carers and professionals working with them
  • Your own transport to enable you to visit the young people on placements which may be spread throughout the county

This is an exciting time to join the school as we continue to develop the full curriculum and provision for our learners. We have recently been judged ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED (May 2022) and the successful candidate will have opportunity to help us to continue our journey and contribute to the Vision and Values of The Hub School as a member of the team.

The Headteacher and Governing Body are committed to the safety and well-being of our learners and an Enhanced DBS Check and other employment checks will be conducted on the preferred candidate prior to appointment.

Previous applicants need not apply.

We actively encourage pre-application tours.

Online applications close on 2 October. Applications will be received at the school up until 9am on 3 October.
