Job outline

Overall purpose

To assist Employment Services staff with the delivery of a comprehensive and efficient Employment Services function.

Principal accountabilities

  1. To assist other Employment Services staff in providing a full recruitment service for members of the public, staff, advertising, managers and Directorates.
  2. Issue and log in hard copy recruitment application forms.
  3. To assist other Employment services staff with provision of a comprehensive, confidential and efficient DBS disclosure handling/pre-employment check service for the whole of the East Riding Authority in respect of recruitment, volunteer and umbrella service checks.
  4. To assist other Employment services staff in providing a comprehensive system for dealing with the appointment process, issue/amendment of contracts, payroll information as required and amendments to employee details.
  5. Receive instructions/information from managers and schools via email, eform, hard copy forms and convert to required format and add to appropriate Employment Services workflow system for processing.
  6. To assist other Employment Services staff with tasks relating to payment of SAL1c and timesheets.
  7. Assist other Employment Services staff with data quality checks and data input tasks to maintain the integrity of the post information held within iTrent.
  8. Assist other Employment Services staff with tasks related to the maintenance and administration of pool systems including help and advice for managers on their use.
  9. Process orders for Employment Services and the wider Human Resources team via P2P.
  10. Monitor stock levels for stationary ordering.
  11. Act as point of contact for multi-functional device setup of accounts and place service calls for faults.
  12. Carry out post collection, photocopying, document collation, filing, retrieval, shredding and scanning tasks as required.  Maintain hard copy document storage records and arrange retrieval of files on request.
  13. Carry out mail merge correspondence and produce one-off letters and emails as required.
  14. Undertake any other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and requirements of the post.
  15. In this role you are required to speak English with sufficient fluency to effectively perform your duties, as required by Section 42 of the Immigration Act 2016.
